Jungle and mountains - Chumphon
If you want to go around by yourself by motorbike you can try to go to Khao Talu.
Take the main road to Surat Thani for about 45 km and turn right at a village called Khao Pip (you will see a sign to Khao Talu). Khao Talu means "mountain with a hole" and you will be able to see it from a fair distance away.
The area is very nice, with fruit and coffee plantations, tall limestone outcrops and acres of jungle.
This is where you will find the Tham Nam Lot cave, but it would not be wise to enter it without a good guide.
I used to organize trekking tours in this area. The forest is very thick with tall trees and there are still a number of wild animals.
