Karon Beach - Phuket
While in Patong the growth has been very ´casual´ and many buildings look like they have been designed by first year architecture students with a thing for turrets, Karon seems to have grown in a more coordinated way with larger roads and much more pleasing architecture. Some of the big hotels look really nice and there is a nice looking Club Med resort with its own small golf course.
The beach in Karon is larger than the one in Patong, with less umbrellas and is well separated from the road by a large grass area.
