KOH SAMUI
There is always something to do on Ko Samui, with it´s crystal clear water and white sandy beaches, relaxation is priority number one. The East coast is the best known tourist area in Koh Samui. The 2 main beaches are Chaweng and Lamai, but there are some other nice small beaches further South as well.
Theres no doubting that the majority of visitors spend their days indulging in the array of water activities or just topping up their sun tans sipping on rum and coke. But there is more to do than just laying on a beach, for peace and quiet head up one of the many hills that scatter the island.
Although the island still retains the beauty it´s always had, its inevitably seen a influx of hotels and complexes, though they are modest and low rise. |
When to go there |
The best time to go would be around January and February, these are not the hottest months, around 25 degrees but i think its more pleasent.
March to May are the hottest months and temperatures can reach 40 degrees, which can be too hot at times, there is hardly any rain during this time.
June to December are the months where rain is most likely, although there is still sun, downpours do become more frequent as the year comes to a close. |
