Koh Tao Main Dive Sites

Aow Leuk - Level: Beginners onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-15 Meters Features: Marine Life: Assorted hard and soft coral with a vast array of whip coral. Various small reef fish such as Parrot fish, Butterfly fish, Banner fish, Blue Ringed Angel fish and Wrasse. It is also possible to see TitanTrigger fish and the occasional Hawksbill Turtle and Banded Sea Snake. Chumphon Pinnacles - Level: Experienced Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 10-30 Meters Features: Marine Life: Tha top of the main pinnacled with Sea Anemones, while the south-west Pinnacle has an fantastic array of sea fans. As well as various small reef fish there are large shoals of Fusiliers. Yellow Tail Barracuda, Jacks, Yellow Spotted Tuna and Bat fish. There are also many larger fish including Chevron & Grey Reef Sharks And Whale Sharks visit here seasonally. Green Rock - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-30 Meters Features: Marine Life: A fantastic sitc with assortcd and soft corajs and Sea Anemones. Various small rccf fish can be found herc soch as blue Ringcd Angel fish Butterfly fish and Banner fish There are plcnty of Trigger pits out in the sand so keep you eyes peeled for the Yellow Margin and Titan Triggcr fish BAndcd Sca Snakes Jcnkins Rays and Hawksbill Turtles are also seen here N.B.Can have strong currents Hin Pee Wee - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-15 Meters Features: Marine Life: A beautiful site wite assorted hard and soft corals. Various small reef fish can be found here. Look out for the Scorpion fish blending in to their surroundings! Yellow Spotted Tuna. Trevalies and Jacks can be seen in large shoals around the pinnacles. Morey Eels hide in the crevices and the occasional Hawksbill Turtle and Banded Sea Snake make an appearance. N.B. Unpredictable Currents Hin Wong Pinnacles - Level: Advanced Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-20 Meters Features: Marine Life: A group of boulders with an abundance of Lacy Sea Fans and Curly Wire Coral. Various small reef fish and be found here such as Butterfly fish. Banner fish and Wrasse. There are numerous Snapper and Groupers. Puffa fish. Box fish. File fish and Sweetlipe are also often sighted here Japanese Gardens - Level: Beginners onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-15 Meters Features: Marine Life: An abundance of hard and soft coral formations creating the impression of an garden. Various small reef fish can be found here such as butterfly fish. Wrasse and Parrot fish. There are also some large titan Trigger fish nesting in the sand. You can see Nudibranch’s as well as regular sightings of Jacks and Banded Trevalies. The occasional Banded Sea Snake and Cat fish can make an appearance 100. Laem Thien - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-20 Meters Features: Marine Life: A collection of swim-throughs, caves and canyons Incorporating a variety of coral. Various small reef fish are found here such as Butterfly fish, Banner fish, Angel fish and Parrot fish. There are a few Titan Trigger fish who feed of the clams around the rocks. Sail Rock - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 10-30 Meters Features: Marine Life: An excellent site featuring a chimney (vertical swim- through) that drops down from 6 meters to 18 meters with an accessible window at 12 meters. Lots of reef fish can be seen here such as angel fish. Parrot fish, Banner fish, Rabbit fish and Butterfly fish. There are also plenty of Giant Groupers, Jacks, Bat fish and Titan Trigger fish to be seen. Look out for the Whale sharks making their seasonal visit. N.B. Excellent for the Experienced Diver. Shark Island - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-30 Meters Features: Marine Life: A lovely site featuring a vast array of stunning soft coral. A variety of reef fish can be found here such as Angel fish, Parrot fish and Banded Butterfly fish. There are also Great Barracuda. Titan Trigger fish, Scrawled File fish and Harlequin Sweet Lips to be seen. Look out for Blue Spotted Stingrays and the Turtle. N.B.Good for Drift diving Southwest Pinnacles - Level: Advance onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 10-30 Meters Features: Marine Life: A beautiful site consisting of a number of pinnacles Incorporating an array of sponges.Sea Anemones And corol including some lovely Giant Fan corals. A lanrge variety of marine life can be found here such as Giant Groupers, Tuna, Fusiliers, Snappers, Barracuda, Stingrays and Razor fish. There are also Leopard Sharks, Reef Sharks and the occasional Whale Shark to be seen. Twin Peaks - Level: Beginners onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-20 Meters Features: Marine Life: Two groups of boulders with an abundance of hard and soft Coral. Various small reef fish are found here such as Butterfly fish, Banner fish, Angel fish, Parrot fish and Wrasse. There are also regula sightings of large Groupers, Yellow Tail Barracuda, Pipe fish and Bat fish. Under the ledges you will find Blue Spotted Sting Rays and Moray Eels. Look out for the family of Clark’s Anemone fish out in the sand. N.B. Great location for night dive White Rock - Level: Open Water onwards Max Depth: - Average Depth: - Visibility: 5-25 Meters Features: Marine Life: An impressive site wiyh a vast array of stunning hard and soft coral. Many reef fish such as Blue Ringed Angel fish, Butterfly fish, Parrot fish, Rabbit fish and Squirrel fish. There are many Wrasse here too, with one particular “Friendly Wrasse” Affectionately known as Gumphrey! Also.Trigger fish. Moray Eels and Blue Spotted Sting Rays may be found.

OUR LATE STARTS (9.30 am) ALLOW US TO DIVE KOH TAO’S PREMIUM DIVE SITES WITHOUT THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF THE BIG DIVE SCHOOLS. WE MAKE ONLY ONE TRIP A FAY AND LIMIT OURSELVES TO 2 DIVES SO THERE IS NO RUSH TO GET BACK TO THE SHOP WHICH MEANS MORE TIME TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE SEA.
