Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach
| 700 meters long Thong Nai Pan Noi (also: Ta Pan Beach) is one of the most beautiful beaches on Ko Phangan and features fine, white sand in a very remote area. Unfortunately, there are lots of jellyfish sometimes, even the resorts warn their guests. Check with your reception before jumping into the beautiful water! |
| Thong Nai Pan is now a lot easier to reach than in the past, as the locals have been working on the South-North connection road for many years. Nevertheless, you should at least have some experience if you're planning on riding your motorbike here, as some parts of the road are still demanding and the locals drive like madmen. In recent years, Thong Nai Pan has lost a lot of its nativeness, as several luxury resorts have settled here. Yet, you still get that Thai family feeling in the adjacent little village, much more so than at the neigbouring beach Thong Nai Pan Yai. There is really authentic food here, too. From the North end of the beach you can walk to Bottle Beach on a good, but strenuous little path which takes about 1.5 hours. |
